The Diablo valley Pool League ran their last scheduled women's tournament before Vegas at their newly joined sponsored Cue and Brew in Martinez, Ca. We were pleased to be able to show our new sponsor the kind of business we can bring to their house if they joined our organization. We had a great turn out of 26 women who showed up for a full day of competition and camaraderie. We actually had the entire pool room through most of the day. 

The  winner of the event was Eleanor Callado , who was sent to the looser side by our local veteran Shawn Modelo, who would join her eventually  on the loser side along with another one of our veterans Leslie Bernardi after loosing the fight for the catbird seat to the two time winner of previous tournaments Denise Domingo. .

Eleanor's game was smooth and at the same time very strong as she managed to come back all the way from the looser bracket to get by  all players waiting for her to finally have a chance to defeat Denise twice to even up and then a third time for the money. After a great day of excellent pool and a feeling of true competition by all the women from DVPL the standings of the event read as :
